Consumer-Grade Natural Gas
Also called dry or pipeline–quality natural gas, consumer-grade natural gas is a clean, dry gas that can be safely transported in pipelines. It is comprised primarily of methane and contains little or no condensate or liquid hydrocarbons.
Some conventional gas may be naturally dry, but wet natural gas and acid gas may also be cleaned and dried using various processing methods to become consumer-grade gas.
