IntelliScent™ Odorant Monitor

Automated odorant monitoring for safer, more objective natural gas distribution

The Welker IntelliScent™ Odorant Monitor provides accurate, automated, real-time measurement of odorant levels in natural gas distribution systems. Designed for Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations, IntelliScent™ helps gas utilities, municipalities, and industrial operators reduce reliance on manual sniff tests while improving safety, compliance, and repeatable odorant measurement. With precision odorant monitoring, flexible calibration options, intelligent flow control, 4–20 mA analog output, MODBUS communication, wireless connectivity, high-resolution LCD display, and an explosion-proof enclosure, IntelliScent™ supports documented odorant level monitoring for pre-odorized gas and natural gas distribution networks.

Where to Use
Natural Gas Distribution Systems Real-time odorant monitoring for gas utilities, municipalities, and industrial distribution networks.
Pre-Odorized Gas Measurement Objective odorant level measurement for purchasers of pre-odorized natural gas.
Compliance and Safety Monitoring Automated odorant measurement where frequent, documented, and repeatable results are required.
Sample Control OdorEyes

Precision Odorant Monitoring

Measures odorant in natural gas streams to help operators verify odorant levels and support compliance.

Flexible Calibration Options

Supports manual and automatic calibration using calibration gas or stream calibration.

Intelligent Flow Control

Uses an integrated flow switch and meter to help ensure proper gas sampling.

Multiple Output Options

Provides 4–20 mA analog output and MODBUS communication for SCADA integration.

Explosion-Proof Enclosure

Provides durable protection for Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations.

Ensures Compliance

Provides accurate, documented odorant level measurements to meet regulatory requirements.

Enhances Safety

Early detection of odorant inconsistencies prevents under-odorization risks in distribution systems.

Reduces Human Error

Automated operation eliminates subjective manual sniff tests, ensuring repeatable accuracy.

Odor-Free Maintenance

Places serviceable components upstream of the odorant sample to help reduce exposure.

Designed for Harsh Environments

Operates in extreme temperatures (-4°F to 122°F) with an optional heated enclosure for cold climates.
