Control

When All Else Fails

When the pressure in an instrument or system rises too highso too does the risk of damage to the equipmentAs the last line of defense, a relief valve must prevent pressure from increasing beyond the maximum allowable working pressure.

The Welker RV-110 series Relief Valves are ideal for protecting high capacity gas instrumentation from overpressure eventsDesigned with ASME standards in mind, these safety devices have a 10% overpressure relief capacity and are made from stainless steel.

Taking the Easy Way Out

Two Vent Styles Available

A relief valve is the path of least resistance when set pressure is exceeded. When the relief opens, excess pressure is diverted through the discharge until pressure returns to an acceptable level. Depending on site requirements and gas characteristics, excess pressure can be relieved to the atmosphere or routed through discharge piping. For non-hazardous gas applications and sites that allow venting to atmosphere, choose the RV-110A. For hazardous gas applications and sites that require gases to be vented to a safe area, go with the RV-110V, which has a ½ FNPT port to connect to discharge piping.

Springing Into Action

Adjustable Set Pressure

Spring range options let you select and set the best spring for your application to meet your safety requirements. The RV-110V relief is field adjustable or can be factory set. Locknuts on both models prevent the spring setting from changing due to vibration. Openings in the adjustment screw and body enable the RV-110V setting to be securely locked if desired or required.
